Who's the boss?

Many years ago there was once a TV series named "Who's the Boss?" The lady boss was "boss" but she was a nice lover too!

Today, I heard some conversation:

A: "we have a special invited guest this morning!"

The announcer is broadcasting over a radio channel and was excited about the talk show.

A: "Welcome our guest of the day, MR. NIK, who is also a fan of P. Ramlee..."

She further elaborates: "Our special guest today is none other than the Director of our Radio Station, and we give you MR. NIK! MR. NIK, what is your favourite song by P. Ramlee?"

MR. NIK: "Thank you for having me in this morning show "OLDIES REVISITED", I am very happy to be here. My umhhh most favourite song by Tan Sri P. Ramlee is .... "

And, the whole interview went on just fine. Finally, it comes to the end of the show...

A: "MR. NIK, for your enthusiasm and energy in the P. Ramli songs, and for the love of his legendary talent, can you sing a song by P. Ramlee?"

MR. NIK: "You are right, I am Tan Sri's No.1 fan ever... I love his song "Getaran Jiwa", ummh..."

A: "Can la..."

MR. NIK: "Ummmhhh... you mean I sing now?..."

A: "We are waiting ..."

MR. NIK in embarrassment, tried to avoid singing... "No la..."

A: "Just sing a line..., you can la.... hi, hi ..."

The atmosphere becomes icy... and finally,

MR. NIK: "Heh, you all no need to work, eh?" In a joking manner, MR. NIK sounded as "BOSS".

A: "..., thank you MR. NIK, our studio director who we are very fortunate to have this morning, thank you!"

So, "Who's the BOSS?"

Reflection

Although at this age of modernization and democracy, feared bosses are scarce and far in between. This is especially so when there are governance guidelines that CEO or Chairman can only be allowed a limited terms. That goes with the elected President of the U.S.A. too!

Nevertheless, there is a little dose of ego in us. Moreover if I am in control. How can I give orders when I might be presumed as joking around? Thus, a boss has to be serious at all times. There is never too much time to waste. So, even when all are letting their hair down, totally intoxicated, the boss still have to be sober.
